Hello! And welcome fellow netizen reading this blog. I appreciate you for taking the time to explore my portfolio website. This is intended to be a messy blog entry and there will be several grammar errors.
Gian Magana is a practitioner of Street Photography. He Stands and Delivers his works through the lenses of social and current moments rather than as a graphic designer. While Gian has taken a couple of photography workshops and a semester of classes in college from 2015 to 2016; he finds his personal calling in street photography. Leaving from home often on the streets, sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, and inside public transit vehicles to take random images of people. Even without consent and the ganas (desire) to connect with other people - often getting quite close to people.
Inspiration
Gian's primary inspiration for street photography includes Mary Ellen Mark, Mark Cohen, Bruce Gilden, Daido Moriyama and Eric Kim. When Gian was residing in Guam he found himself holding a camera and desiring to photograph anything and anyone to his hearts' content. The approach with photography is roughly just relying on his intuition. Photojournalism is one of his approaches to his career. photojournalism and went on a field trip from his photography class with Manny Crisostomo's presentation in. His photo essay "A Class Act" documenting low-income and poverty teens at Southwestern High School in Detroit gives me much motivation for my current style of his approach to photography. The socioeconomic trend is since much of the American schools. But it cleared the air with crack cocaine, and in recent years opioid epidemic, AIDS/HIV at the time. Just an indirect connection with teachers like Louanne and Jaime. and films Dangerous Minds and Stand & Deliver have teachers using unconventional methodologies in teaching low-income and English As a Second Language (ESL) students and citizens. My life is much of the school's administrators and superiors of Jaime Escalante and Louanne Johnson - albeit just a mindless "lost looking" person roaming with a camera.
My pet peeves in photography would be: people compelling themselves to "look good" or pose themselves where it's no longer themselves because of me pointing my camera at them. Another one of mine is where people assume that I do commercial photoshoots and work with clients. My photography services mean very little and are largely irrelevant to my photography discipline.
And Landscape Photography is also my latest pet peeve!

How great my images are? To be honest - I feel like my images are the "worst" and is constantly think that I am even the worst photographer to even exist. Not looking and asking for any approval or sympathy. This is what I will feel and accept myself for several years to come. But it is true that I am the worst photographer to exist...
